Greener Car Options Closer to Reality in the US? |
The Detroit Auto Show is underway, and all kinds of alternative fueled vehicles are being discussed. It's about time! Let's hope this time they actually build the cars and keep them on the road! It does look like Toyota will lead the pack in actually getting more fuel efficient cars to market the quickest. They are promising a plug-in Prius Hybrid, which has been widely sought for many years now.
Check out the variety of alternative fueled cars by Saturn, Mercedes, Jeep, Chrysler, Cadillac, and many others in the New York Times coverage of the Auto Show.
As great as the news is, I'm still a little bitter that there aren't more options available to purchase NOW! I need to make a change in 2008, but the cars I want to buy aren't on the streets yet. I guess I'll wait just a little longer...
