US Blocks Progress in Bali
Shocker - I know. Once again, the US is holding out on real progress with the climate change initiatives taking place currently in Bali, Indonesia.
The Bali conference is in its final stretch and our stubborn delegation is refusing to accept definable target numbers for emissions reductions.  This crap about voluntary reductions being the answer is getting really old.  We have to COMMIT to a reduction if we expect others to follow.

When are we going to learn? Is it going to take Miami washing into the Atlantic to get us to act?  Now it looks like our arrogance is spilling across the border into Canada, as they are putting up roadblocks also.  How much longer can the world wait for the US to wake up?  I keep thinking that in 2009, Bush will finally be out of office and god willing, we will have a more progressive President in the White House.  Perhaps then we can begin to shift the position of the US and move to a more action-oriented stance on tackling climate change.

This is a great article I read this morning on the subject - check it out here.

Also, here is the CNN article on the latest round of road blocks.

It is hard to believe that there or some people in the US that still think Global Warming is a joke. I heard Rush Limbaugh call it a shame. This morning Glen Beck was interviewed and in his new book he says that the real commitment to fixing the global warming problem starts with personal actions. Makes sense to me. So during the month of November 2008 let's see how committed the American people are about this issue. Perhaps we should have a write-in vote for Al Gore.
